NL: Hearing on plastic chain and litter 30 November 2017

On 30 November 2017 a round table discussion / hearing took place in the Dutch House of Representatives about the plastic chain and litter. The participants spoke about a report by the CPB Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis ‘The circular economy of plastics: from raw materials to waste’ and a report of CE Delft ‘Costs and impacts of a deposit on cans and small bottles in the Netherlands’. The results of the litter pilot ‘Schoon Belonen’ were also discussed.
A number of interested parties, among which the Dutch CBL, Netherlands Institute for Sustainable Packaging (KIDV), Natuur & Milieu, Stichting Nederland Schoon and the Packaging Waste Fund, had handed in Position Papers.
