Higher educated and women follow more education

01 May 2018

In cooperation with Springest, research agency NIDAP has interviewed over 4,000 working people in the Netherlands about their personal development. Since 2013, higher educated people (VWO, Master, Bachelor) have been showing a 4% increase in participation in long term education, compared to lower educated people (who showed a 9% decrease). Lower educated people follow 19% more short courses, compared to 5% for higher educated. The research also shows that women follow more courses and education than men, regardless of the length of the education. Men participate less in longterm parttime education; a decrease of 7% since 2013 is shown (News Item Springest, 11 April 2018).
