South Korea leads in internet connectivity

23 November 2017

South Korea is the world’s digital connectivity leader, with the fastest and most extensive network enabled by a competitive landscape, proactive regulations and robust infrastructure investments. This is reported in the Euromonitor ‘2017 Digital Consumer Index: Pinpointing the Most Promising Digital Opportunities’.
While South Korea is strong in both fixed and mobile connectivity, it is the strength of its home connectivity propelling it to the top spot in the index based on current scores. The top-10 positions after South Korea include Japan, Singapore, Australia and six European countries. The highest ranked emerging market is the UAE (14) (News Item Euromonitor, 25 October 2017).
