White paper on packaging for personal care products

In December 2017 Smithers Pira published a white paper on personal care packaging. A leading growth driver will be further launches of innovative, value-added new products and packaging. Products and packaging which are multi-functional, convenient, easy to use, and are based on sustainable resources are becoming increasingly popular. The impact of digitisation also presents opportunities. Digital technologies include social media, smart packaging for consumer engagement and anti-counterfeiting solutions, backed by a cloud platform. Smart packaging is beginning to appear in the personal care packaging market; including self-heating tubes, electronics and audio and visual effects.
