Report on Middle East Packaging Summit 2017

On 18 and 19 September 2017, the second annual Middle East Packaging Summit took place in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). The conference offered unique opportunities to meet brand owners and suppliers of packaging and packaging materials in this large region, with more than 400 million people.
NVC was partner of the conference, especially in material development and sustainable innovation. For example, the PUMA project was presented on 19 September. PUMA aims to end packaging as an environmental issue in the period 2017-2026. Hot topic in Dubai was the obligation to start using oxo-biodegradable plastics. The Live Online Learning workshops by NVC also attracted a lot of interest.
