Successful 2nd plenary meeting PUMA: packaging + environment

02 May 2018

On 4 April 2018 the second plenary meeting took place of the PUMA Project, working to end packaging as an environmental issue. Around 50 participants gathered together at the Floating Pavilion in Rotterdam to discuss the progress. After a short wrap-up of the project so far by NVC director Michael Nieuwesteeg, two guest speakers presented their point of view on the issue: Jelmer Vierstra (Natuur & Milieu) and Marijke Boonstra (North Sea Foundation). In break-out sessions the LOT (Legislation, Organisation, Technology) working groups reflected on the work done in 2017 and discussed the work to be done in the coming years. The LOT working groups then reported back to the plenary group.
