Employees don’t take control over their own development yet

24 May 2017

Even though employees find it important to be in control of their development and availability (72%), HR managers notice that in practise this is often not the case. The limited ability to put their own talents into words limits their development. Furthermore, the daily issues (64%) and the lack of encouragement from their manager (34%) also have influence. This is the result of the Raet HR Benchmark 2017.
Employees think they can take more control when they get more time (29%) and more support and facilities of their employer (26%). Better availability of information also gets them to take more initiative to develop their skills and abilities (News Item Raet, 2 May 2017).
