Production of aerosols in Netherlands increased by 8% in 2016

The Dutch Aerosol Association (NAV) has recently published the annual report of 2016. In this report you can read about the production of aerosols in the Netherlands and the sales volumes through the regular consumer channels.
In 2016, the total production of aerosols in the Netherlands increased with about 8% compared to 2015. The main growth came from the categories air fresheners (14%), and lacquers and paints (14%). Other categories are also showing growth, between 3% and 10%. Only the volume in the category insecticides is declining. The number of aluminium aerosols is shrinking compared to the number of tin plate aerosols. 70% of aerosols are now made of tin plate and 30% of aluminium.
