PMMI report: Global primary packaging trends 2017

A report by PMMI, the association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, explores key trends driving development and innovation in primary packaging, such as, increasing awareness of health and wellness, growing concerns of environmental impact, as well as rising disposable incomes, while seeking to identify hot spots for packaging growth in all regions throughout the world.
Some of the key findings: Bottled water to achieve highest absolute volume growth; Growth in Asia Pacific will make up 63% of global growth; PET is main driver of packaging trends across the globe; Flexible plastic will see growth due to affordability, light weight, and growth in packaged foods overall.
