NL: Sustainability plan of plastic packaging industry

16 February 2018

NRK Verpakkingen and PlasticsEurope Nederland have presented their material sustainability plan for the plastic packaging chain to the Dutch House of Representatives. The plan serves as a roadmap that supports the branches in developing their sustainability plans. The Roadmap describes the five directions through which improved sustainability can be created: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Redesign and Renew.
By making packaging and its performance more sustainable the packaging industry contributes to lowering the environmental pressure, decreasing the dependence on non-renewable resources and improving the collection and recycling system (News Item NRK, 16 January 2018).
