Dutch House of Representatives still worried about Bisphenol A

23 November 2017

The members of the Dutch House of Representatives have taken note of the letter about the execution of the motion of Member of Parliament Ouwehand. The members of GroenLinks think the adjusted limits for Bisphenol A (BPA) are a step in the right direction, but they still strive for a complete ban on the use of BPA in food contact materials.
The members of Socialist Party (SP) still have various concerns about the harmfulness of BPA in low doses. The members of the Party for the Animals (PvdD) are astounded that the previous cabinet accepted the lower limits for BPA, because the House of Representatives wants a complete ban (Newsletter Waar&Wet, 7 November 2017).
