NL: Time schedule for law deposit fee on small plastic bottles

The Dutch State Secretary for Infrastructure and Water Management is making preparations for introducing a deposit fee for small plastic bottles for water and soft drinks, in case the goals that have been set to prevent this are not met before the autumn of 2020. She aims to keep the time to introduction as short as possible. She has sent a time schedule for introducing a law for a deposit fee on small bottles to the Dutch House of Representatives.
The necessary changes of the regulations are currently being drawn up and will be offered to the Dutch House in 2019. It concerns changes to the Packaging Management Decree and the Packaging Management Regulation (News Item NVRD, 5 July 2018).
