NL: Shortage technical personnel causes stress on work floor

26 May 2016

More than three quarters of the technical personnel (77%) points to stress as the largest consequence of the quantitative shortage of technical personnel, says ROVC in the first edition of the TechBarometer. The report gives insight in the market, HR, and education trends in technology.
The research looks into the history and future of the shortage in technical personnel. It states that 63% of the respondents experienced a shortage in the past 5 years, and 60% expect it to continue in the following 5 years. A bad connection between formal education and industry is seen as the main cause of the shortage. The ageing workforce also plays an important role (News Item ROVC, 28 April 2016).
