NL: ShoppingTomorrow Consumer Research 2017

27 November 2017

The Dutch e-commerce sector has been on the rise for quite a while and is showing impressive growth numbers. By now, nearly 90% of the Dutch people occasionally buy something online and the online buyer spent on average €757 during the first half of 2017.
At the moment, Dutch people spend 23% of their entire spendings on products and services via web shops. The consumer expects that this will increase to 35% in the next 5 years. The Dutch also predict that their online spending on food/near food and health & beauty products will significantly increase. These product categories belong to the least mature online markets of the moment (Press Release ShoppingTomorrow, 15 November 2017).
