NL: Rutte III puts Lifelong Learning on the agenda

26 October 2017

It is the primary responsibility of employers and employees that employees remain available, says the coalition agreement of cabinet Rutte III. The government takes care of the necessary conditions. An important success factor is a breakthrough in Livelong Learning. This ensures that future generations of working people can work in a productive and healthy way, also until they reach their retirement age.
Many working people don’t spend much time on training during their career. The cabinet is now making an effort to replace the tax-deduction for educational costs with an individual learning account for all Dutch people that have achieved a starting qualification.
