Interpack as reference for food waste and packaging
Interpack 2017 will take place 4-10 May in Düsseldorf. In the period leading to the exhibition the organisation is publishing a number of technical articles. The fourth article, published 13 February 2017, addresses food packaging with the title ‘Food packages: safe, efficient, smart and sustainable’.
The article also references the SAVE FOOD initiative created in 2011 by the FAO and Messe Dusseldorf to highlight the role that packaging can play in preventing food losses. All background information on the SAVE FOOD initiative and a range of research projects on food waste like the EU REFRESH project and the US ReFED will be given during interpack 2017 at the NVC-stand ENB/03.
