In 76% of the NL businesses personnel took a course in 2015

Businesses that let their employees participate in courses, spend on average 1000 euro per participant per year. Businesses in the mineral extraction spend the most on courses and construction companies the least. About 70% of the businesses that provide courses worked together with external course providers, says CBS in a study on business education. In 2015, 76% of the Dutch businesses let employees participate in education. Large businesses have their personnel trained more often (96%) than medium sized (89%) and small businesses (72%). Large companies spend on average 1100 euro per participant per year, medium sized and small businesses 1000 euro (News Item CBS, 27 December 2017).
