As companies in all parts of the fresh produce business come under greater pressure to provide faster, more flexible and more predictable supply, the importance of strategic partnerships between retailers and suppliers is also increasing. That is one of the major conclusions drawn in Part 2 of the FRUIT LOGISTICA Trend Report 2018 that was published in April 2018.
Market demand for efficiency and transparency will mean it makes more commercial sense for suppliers and their customers to work together to achieve certain shared objectives, including cutting idle periods out of the ordering process, sharing volume forecasts and other information and reducing shrinkage and waste.
