Japanese packaging design analysed

31 August 2016

On 19 August 2016 the NVC inspiration meeting Packaging design in Japan took place, at the Japan museum SieboldHuis in Leiden, the Netherlands. Several packaging professionals from NVC member companies headquartered in Japan and/or with a presence at the Japanese market participated. Special attention was given to the upcoming packaging exhibition Tokyo Pack 2016; a good preparation for a possible visit to the exhibition.
NVC member company PACKZ shared experiences about their ‘tech scouting’ in the Japanese market and the cultural differences between Japan and Holland were analysed using the Hofstede model. In conclusion the special exhibition on packaging design in Japan was visited.
If you are an NVC member, please contact Helen Crowe for the link to the presentations.
