NL: Roadmap for recycling used wood packaging

02 February 2016

Wood packaging, particularly pallets, is reused as often as possible during their use phase. By working on increasing the recycling rates the value of wood packaging after it cannot be reused anymore and becomes waste, is increased. Berenschot has, in cooperation with experts, developed a roadmap for Nedvang in which the possible applications for recycled wood have been studied.
In the Dutch Packaging Agreement 2013-2022 (Raamovereenkomst Verpakkingen) the companies that pack products have taken up the challenge to substantially increase the recycling of wood packaging waste. The roadmap gives an overview of the potential actions (News Item Nedvang, 8 December 2015).
