NL: Packaging sustainability plan for pharmacy published

24 August 2016

The Netherlands Knowledge Institute Sustainable Packaging (KIDV) has determined the sustainability plan for pharmacy and self-care medicine. Next to the highest obtainable objectives the plan contains a number of research projects. Among them is research into phasing out the use of PVC focusing on blisters and stickers.
The Framework Agreement for the Packaging Industry 2013-2022 states that the industries will establish plans to make product packaging combinations more sustainable for 2018, and that they will use the highest obtainable objectives as the starting point for this. The industries will also do this in 2018 for 2022 (News Item KIDV, 7 July 2016).
