Retailer still chooses for physical shop

According to a news item of overondernemen.com the share of online shops in the total retail turnover continues to grow, but it is too early to announce the end of the physical shop. In fact, some online parties have now also opened physical shops. The old rule of the importance of the right location is also still valid.
The physical shop retains some essential functions – like the ability to touch & feel, sharing knowledge & expertise, and being able to buy & take home right away – that cannot be fulfilled by an online shop.
33 percent of the Dutch population thinks the physical shop will transform into a completely different variety in the next 10 years.
