Consumer survey: Circular economy is within reach

16 December 2016

In an international survey, consumers from 5 countries give their view on issues of sustainability, environment, materials and impact. The results show that a circular economy is within reach and that forest-based products have a future in this economy.
Most agree that it is through their consumption and lifestyle choices that people see the best opportunity for directly impacting on the development. But one can also see differences in our relationship with the forest and the use of it. In the eyes of the average consumer wood is perceived as both exclusive and reliable but that is not the case with other biobased materials extracted from the forest (News Item Innventia, 23 November 2016).
