US: WestRock study on impact of packaging

04 July 2016

WestRock has published the 4th annual study of the impact of packaging on product satisfaction and consumer purchasing behavior. There’s been an increase in the importance of packaging to U.S. consumers, but a persistently low level of satisfaction with packaging overall. For the first time, research into the attitudes of packaging professionals has been included.
The study finds that 66% of packaging professionals say that their brand is already making a strong effort to improve packaging to meet consumer needs, but only 14% of consumers strongly agree. More than 8 in 10 consumers think that with new trends and innovations, brands are headed in the right direction.
