Global market for flexible packaging 2016-2021

14 June 2016

According to a report by MarketsandMarkets (M&M), the global flexible packaging market is projected to grow from USD 97.97 Billion in 2016 to USD 125.66 Billion by 2021, at an estimated CAGR of 5.11%.
This growth is due to the increasing demand from various end user industries such as food & beverages, healthcare and cosmetics & toiletries. Factors such as growing consumer preferences towards convenient packaging, ease of use, and its lightweight characteristic are driving the demand. Manufacturers are shifting towards flexible packaging as it produces less waste due to lower consumption of raw materials, requires less storage space and is easy to transport (Press Release M&M, 24 May 2016).
