10 October 2016

On 27 September the official kick-off of a € 6.3 million inkjet research programme took place at Océ in Venlo NL. The programme is titled 'Fundamental Fluid Dynamics Challenges in Inkjet Printing' (FIP). It is a unique cooperation between the Foundation for Fundamental Research on Matter (FOM), the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), the University of Twente (UT) and Océ.
The research will focus on drop formation, the prevention of air bubbles and the drying of drops on paper. It will also explore the interaction between ink and different types of substrates. The findings will contribute to the development of the inkjet technology of the future (Press Release FOM, 27 September 2016).
