NVV launches Laten Leven quality mark for animal-free products

01 May 2018

The Dutch Vegan Society (NVV) has launched the Laten Leven quality mark. This quality mark guarantees no animal products have been used in the labelled product. It was developed in collaboration with entrepreneurs from the vegetable protein industry. Because they do not process animals, their plant-based products do not qualify for the Better Life quality mark of the Dutch Society for the Protection of Animals.
Every producer that does not use animal ingredients in their products or consumables of animal origin and does not test the products on animals can apply for the Laten Leven quality mark. It applies not only to food products but also to clothes, bags and other goods (News Item NVV).
