NVC project PUMA: end of packaging as environmental issue

01 November 2016

Packaging is the activity of temporarily integrating an external function and a product to enable the use of the product. Packaging by definition results in an empty pack after usage.
NVC is now starting an ambitious project that aims to solve packaging as an environmental issue. Building on the wealth of experiences we have gathered in 1996-2016, we strive to get the job done in the next decade, 2017-2026. The name of the project is PUMA: Packaging Upcyclable Materials Accelerator. One of the key elements of PUMA is 'spirular thinking'. The official kick-off of PUMA will take place on 29 March 2017 in Blijdorp Zoo, Rotterdam, the Netherlands. You are invited to join.
