NO: 30% of products with hazardous chemicals noncompliant

The Norwegian Environment Agency (NEA) that it recently inspected the labels of 500 consumer products containing hazardous substances. It found that the labels for roughly 150 products did not comply with Norwegian CLP regulations or there were problems with packaging.
According to the NEA, 30 of the product labels provided inaccurate or inadequate information; 22 labels lacked required information about the ingredients; 15 labels were not printed in Norwegian; and 13 labels did not provide the required information about the manufacturer or importer. Other products were packaged without necessary child-resistant closures (Recycling Laws International, 21 December 2015).
