NL: Changes in number of Food and Commodity Act Decrees

01 November 2016

The Dutch Food and Commodities Act Decree (FaCAD) on Food Information (Warenwetbesluit informatie levensmiddelen) now states that the approval of the food choice logo can be granted for a certain period. This removes the necessity to arrange this through a ministerial regulation. This way the rules for using the logo can remain in accordance with the newest scientific insights about healthy food.
There were also rectifications and/or changes in the FaCAD Preparation and Treatment of Food, the FaCAD Reserved Indications, the FaCAD Honey, the FaCAD Spreadable Fat Products, the FaCAD Packaged Waters, and the FaCAD Retributions Food Products (Newsletter Waar&Wet, 11 October 2016).
