NL: 2015 progress report of Packaging Agreement

30 August 2016

On 11 July 2016, State secretary Dijksma sent the report on the progress of the Framework Agreement for the packaging industry 2015 and the recycling figures 2014 to the Dutch House of Representatives. Concerning the framework agreement, she states that the results over 2015 can in general be qualified as good. The cooperating parties, the Association of Dutch Municipalities (VNG), industry and the government, have worked together well on the realisation of the deals.
Her general conclusions about the recycling figures are that the Netherlands is doing a good job. At the same time, there are still points of attention, specifically concerning the recycling percentages of glass and wood.
