NL: KIDV to establish highest obtainable objectives

18 November 2016

The Netherlands Institute Sustainable Packaging (KIDV) is going to establish the highest obtainable objectives for the industries that have not yet submitted a sustainability plan. The deadline for submitting the plans was 1 October 2016. Up to now 7 industries have submitted their plans and are implementing them. Just before the deadline 5 other plans were submitted. So far, 3 of these 5 have been approved.
The Framework Agreement for the Packaging Industry 2013-2022 states that the industries will establish plans to make product packaging combinations more sustainable for 2018, and that they will use the highest obtainable objectives as the starting point for this.
