NL: IFS and BRC accepted by NVWA

28 September 2016

Stichting Ketenborging.nl announced that the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) has accepted the BRC and IFS standards and the corresponding certification protocols. There will be a list of companies that have received these certificates on ketenborging.nl. FSSC 22000 is expected to be accepted in a few weeks. By accepting these standards the NVWA indicates that the systems meet the criteria of the Taskforce Food Trust and considers that these support the inspectorate in its work. They presume that manufacturers holding one of these certificates take good care of the food safety and integrity of their products (News item VMT, 21 September 2016).
