NL: 55% of people over 55 want to do more shopping online

04 April 2016

55 percent of the Dutch consumers that are older than 55 expect their shopping behaviour to shift more towards online shopping in the next two years. An increase in the online purchase of products like electronic equipment and travel arrangements can already be distinguished in the past two years. The daily shopping is rarely done through online channels by the older target group. These findings were published in a study by Webloyalty, performed by GfK, that was performed among 800 consumers aged 55 or older.
For 65% of consumers over 55 the main reason to not always shop online yet is the inability to feel or touch the product (News Item Webloyalty, 17 March 2016).
