NL: New measures for Crowdfunding postponed

08 January 2016

A news report from WeFundex writes that in the Netherlands four new measures will be introduced as of the 1st of April, 2016. The original date of 1 January has thus been postponed. The measures aim to combat previously signalled bottlenecks that have been encountered with crowdfunding.
The four measures are: the exemption of crowdfunding in the provisions ban for investment enterprises, the strengthening of the exemption for mediation during the acquisition of collectable assets through crowdfunding, the reformation of the maximum investment limits appointed by the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets and an exemption on the acquisition of claimable funds from the public.
