FEICA guidance on migration testing of adhesives for FCMs

30 June 2016

FEICA’s Paper and Packaging Technical Working Group has been part of a cross sector initiative about migration testing of non-plastic food contact materials (FCMs). The initiative is the collaborative effort of several sector associations in the packaging supply chain and aims to provide robust guidance papers on this challenging subject. This document outlines the specific guidelines for conformity testing of adhesives as components of food contact materials. It also lists recommendations on how to test the different types of adhesives, taking into account their material-specific properties. This includes consideration of all parts of the migration study (FEICA Connect, May 2016).
