Euromonitor 2016 Global Consumer Trends survey results

25 October 2016

Euromonitor has published the results from the 2016 Global Consumer Trends survey. Four key trends are defined: 1. Ingredient selectivity is on the rise, in 2015 35% of consumers avoided at least 5 separate ingredients or food attributes and in 2016 53%; 2. Green concerns centre on self and family, very few consumers are willing to pay extra for environmentally-focused features;
3. Continued growth of the “mobile first” lifestyles, the growing reliance on mobile technology is changing the way smartphone users interact with brands and companies and 4. Consumers buy time to find balance, they are looking for ways to simplify their lives (News Item Euromonitor 28 September 2016).
