300+ meet at Finnish Packaging Summit WrapIt

More than 300 delegates met at the WrapIt conference in the Finnish city of Lahti on Wednesday 30 November to discuss Nordic packaging and the world trends alike. Plenary lectures in the morning included: How will e-Commerce change packaging in the future? (Michael Nieuwesteeg, NVC), What packaging means to the brand owner? (Allan Dickner, IKEA), Sales, science and packaging (Prof. Petri Parvinen, University of Helsinki) and Retail megatrends and implications to packaging (Matti Kalervo, Kesko).
Parallel sessions in the afternoon addressed novel materials, luxury packaging, novel printing techniques and student’s design work from a range of universities and other education institutes.
