NL: Minutes published of 14 November meeting of Dutch House on waste and recycling

On 14 November 2013 the Dutch House (Tweede Kamer) Committee on Infrastructure and Environment met to discuss a range of waste and recycling issues. Packaging was an important subject. The minutes of the meeting were published on 13 December 2013. One of the subjects discussed was the abolishment of the mandatory deposit system for large PET-bottles. Another subject was reducing the amount of one-way plastic bags. The pilot for the collection of beverage cartons was also discussed. Another issue was the upcoming review of the waste management policy and the European waste directives by the European Commission and the reaction from the Dutch government that was submitted during the consultation period.
