Non-occupational injuries caused by transport packaging
A study (329 kB) by The Pennsylvania State University, published in the Journal of Safety Research, describes the incidence and epidemiology of non-occupational pallet-related injuries, for instance in supermarkets, as seen in United States emergency departments. As a result of their ubiquity in retail environments and social media-driven trends in do-it-yourself (DIY) repurposing of pallets for residential uses, there is increasing potential for injuries. This especially holds for elderly customers.

Prevention of work-related illnesses caused by physical overload
Every year, 113,000 employees in the Netherlands report an occupational disease caused by excessive physical strain at work. In total there are 460,000 people with an occupational disease of the musculoskeletal system. Research institute TNO (in Dutch) describes all figures and facts in a report (in Dutch, 1.92 MB) and factsheet (in Dutch, 58 kB).

The Future of Jobs report 2020
The Future of Jobs report (10.59 MB) by the World Economic Forum (WEF) maps the jobs and skills of the future, tracking the pace of change. It aims to shed light on the pandemic-related disruptions in 2020, contextualised within a longer history of economic cycles and the expected outlook for technology adoption, jobs and skills in the next five years.

Workplace learning trends in 2021
The 2021 Workplace Learning Trends Report by course provider Udemy analyses which skills have surged in consumption on Udemy for Business in the past year as employees adapted to the COVID pandemic. Udemy also examined the learning behaviours of thousands of global companies to determine the six trends that will define the workplace in 2021. Top 5 priorities for HR leaders in 2021
Gartner surveyed more than 800 human resources leaders across 60 countries and all major industries to identify HR trends and assess HR priorities and expected challenges for 2021.
