PT Conference abstracts about new food packaging materials

The abstracts of the International Conference on Safety and Innovation in Food Packaging 2016, which was held in Lisbon on 16 June 2016, have been published on the website of the Portuguese National Health Institute Doutor Ricardo Jorge (INSA). The aim of the conference was to bring together academia and industry to discuss the safety of food packaging as well as the development of new food packaging materials, including active, intelligent and nano concepts. Biobased materials are also discussed due to be a growing area of food packaging. The book contains abstracts on subjects like nanostructured polymers and biomaterials with potential use for active packaging and barrier packaging.
