Generations build on packaging requirements of earlier generations

05 March 2014

The results of the Great Generations Debate Packaging in 2028 are published. The debate took place during our 60th Annual Members Meeting (28 November 2013). The participants were divided into groups according to their age: 18-25 (Young Talents), 26-49 (BackBones), and 50 years and older (Eminences Grises).
The Eminences Grises are focused on the primary functions of packaging. The BackBones are concerned with the environmental effects of the large quantities of packages and packaged products. The Young Talents are focused on convenience and online shopping. Each generation builds on the requirements of previous generations, presuming those are still met and adding their own.
