Research: Selection and comparison of industrial robots for packaging and palletizing

18 August 2014

Selection of a robot is one of the most difficult problems in today’s manufacturing environment. Researchers at the YMCA University of Science and Technology in India aimed to generate and maintain reliable information of robot manipulators based on their different attributes.
The study can be used to standardize the robot selection procedure when the manufacturing firm has decided to use the robot for a particular operation. This will help the robot user to save time by providing him a tool for selecting the robot system most suited for his operational needs. An article about the study is published in the International Journal of Applied Engineering Research.
