NL: Progress report of the Packaging Agreement 2013-2022

01 May 2015

On April 16 state secretary Mansveld sent the Dutch House of Representatives (Tweede Kamer) a report on the progress of the Packaging Agreement 2013-2022 (Raamovereenkomst).
In appendix 1 the reported recycling percentages are given. The overview shows that the 2013 targets for glass and wood have not been met. Glass shows an improvement compared to 2012; the recycling percentage has increased from 71% to 79%. However, the 90% target has not been met. Wood shows a further decline to 22% recycling. The reasons for this decline are discussed in the findings of the Wood Working Group. The aim of the group was to investigate which agreements can be made to tackle this problem.
