NL: Pollution of paper waste is slowly increasing

In 2012 the pollution of paper waste in the Netherlands was 4.1%. The pollution increased by 0.3% compared to 2011. This means that in the 995,000 tonnes of paper waste that was collected from households in the Netherlands 41,000 tonnes was polluted. Seals around paper are one of the main polluters. This is the conclusion of the annual PRN study (News Item PRN, 16 September 2013).
