Blunders and creativity in home deliveries

26 November 2015

The growth of e-commerce has influenced home deliveries. Increasing amounts of packages are delivered to consumers’ homes. It is recommended that the consumer stays home during the delivery time window to receive the package, yet this is not always the case. This gives rise to creative delivery ‘solutions’. Nevertheless, packages can still arrive in a condition or at a location that is not desired by the customer.
During the last mile of home delivery, packaging damage cannot always be averted, but how is this presented to the customer? Logistiekprofs and Verpakkingsprofs give an overview of ten e-commerce blunders, showing the possible mistakes that can be made.
