Global stock of human capital measured

26 May 2015

The Human Capital Report 2015 by World Economic Forum (WEF) measures countries’ ability to nurture talent through education, skills development and deployment at all stages of the human life cycle. The report index provides a metric to assess the current stock of human capital and to assess opportunities for effective interventions. The Top 10 holds seven EU countries in addition to Canada (4), Japan (5) and New Zealand (9). WEF believes that talent is the key factor linking innovation, competitiveness and growth in the 21st century. Dialogue, collaboration and partnerships between all sectors are crucial for the adaptation of educational institutions, governments and businesses, says WEF.
