Global E-commerce Index

26 June 2015

In markets big and small, e-commerce is maintaining its impressive growth. In a report on the global stats of e-commerce by ATKearney, global retail sales are forecasted to grow from $839,8 bn in 2014 to $1,506bn in 2018, yet the annual growth rate will decrease from 23% to 13%.
In this report, the world’s 30 most attractive e-commerce countries are listed, based on their online market size, consumer e-behaviour, growth potential and infrastructure. Highlighted is the United States’ gain of leadership, due to steady growth in 2014, and Belgium’s 15 place jump to 9th most attractive online market due to strong logistics, infrastructure and positive consumer behaviour towards e-commerce.
