Research results cross chain order fulfilment for e-commerce

01 May 2015

Fulfillment in e-commerce is elaborated in the 2013-2014 Annual Report of the Dinalog R&D project 'Cross chain order fulfilment coordination for Internet Sales'. The project aims to design methods to improve the coordination of products flows, and a physical and IT network for the coordination of the delivery and return of internet-based orders.
E-commerce sales channels are often currently separated from other channels in companies, and from other companies' e-commerce channels. The project focuses on the concept of cross-chain control centers (4C), which fulfill a coordinating role across supply chains. Topics include delivery strategies and more effective intralogistics.
