NL: Enforcement mandatory indication of address per 1st of June 2014

08 May 2014

As of 1st of June 2014, Regulation EU No. 543/2011 enters into force, demanding the mandatory indication of the full name and address of packers/shippers. The Dutch Quality Control Bureau (KCB) established a directive for the enforcement of the regulation.
For Dutch products, the full name and address of the packer/shipper is required to be mentioned. Under certain circumstances it may be replaced by the word packer/shipper/exporter, followed by the KCB registration number or GLN number. For imported products, a broader interpretation of address information is used, but any form of address has to be mentioned at all times (KBC News Release, April 14 2014).
